The Jefferson Ruritan Foundation (JRF) is the 501c3 non-profit subsidiary of the Jefferson (VA) Ruritan Club.  With that IRS status, it can accept donations which are 100% tax-deductible for the donor.

The Foundation's primary activity is to award scholarships to local college-bound students.  Since 1983, the Foundation, and the Club itself, previously, have granted over $28,000 to dozens of local students.

The two 2016 awardees were announced  for $1,000 scholarships at the Club's annual picnic, July 19th.  If you are interested in this scholarship program, Click on the application form below, save, and print. Follow the instructions below.  You may also email or write to JRF, Inc., General Delivery, Jeffersonton VA 22724 to request a copy.
The JRF Scholarship Program is based on a combination of merit and need.  Priority is given to residents of its service area, Jefferson District, Culpeper County, Virginia; and to students who are just finishing high school studies.
Applicants are asked to answer all questions completely.  All information will be treated as confidential and is not released beyond our Foundation and its affiliate, the Ruritan National Foundation, Dublin VA.
Public high school students should apply through their school counselor.  Others may apply directly to Jefferson Ruritan Foundation, General Delivery, Jeffersonton VA 22724.  Selectees will be asked for additional information for the matching affiliate grant.  Submissions must be received by March 15th.  We recommend that applicants begin assembling family financial and personal activity details well in advance.  Ruritan is a strong supporter of education; and wishes all students encouragement.
